Episode four: WAGOI: It’s time to get rewarded for your car’s data.
Theme:
Connected cars collect 25 GB of data per hour (that’s like 5000 pictures)!
Connected cars are super convenient, but modern cars know way more than your driving habits or your favorite playlist – they track deeply personal information – and sell all that data! Even your passengers are ‘tracked’, if they are using Google Maps or streaming services. According to McKinsey, the vehicle data market is set to skyrocket to $750 Billion. Wagoi is breaking this model by establishing a market where owners can control what data is shared and get rewarded every time they hit the road. Let’s flip the script and put the power – and the value – back in consumers’ hands!
Speakers
- Dr. Paul Twomey, Co-Chair, Global Initiative for Digital Empowerment, former CEO of ICANN.
- Mario Schraepen, CEO, WAGOI.
Speakers will discuss how drivers can regain control of their car’s data and how the IDEA Framework creates the conditions that make such control possible at scale.
